Otis Holloway passed away on Wednesday, October 23, in Washington, D.C. He was a guiding light in the Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA) community and a valued member of the inaugural cohort of the Colin Powell Leadership Institute. To know Otis was to experience genuine warmth—his smile had the power to brighten any room, and his dedication to uplifting others was truly remarkable.
Those who were fortunate enough to know him will always remember his welcoming smile, generous spirit, and exceptional ability to make everyone feel seen and valued.
Funeral Plans
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 1495 Morris Rd SE, Washington, DC 20020. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church, located at 1790 Ali Baba Avenue, Opa-Locka, FL 33054.
