Michael Goonan Death; State Street Corporation VP has reportedly died

Michael Goonan, the executive vice president in State Street Corporation has reportedly passed away, he had been employed by State Street for more than sixteen years, and prior to that, he worked in Investment Management Services at the Irvine, California headquarters of the company. He was in charge of managing the global investment management activities that were contracted out by a number of different customers, such as PIMCO, Lazard Asset Management, Wellington, Babson Capital Management, and Greater Investment Corporation.

In 1982, Mike began his career in the securities processing industry. Since then, he has worked for Deutsche Bank, Clearstream, Yasuda Bank & Trust, and J.P. Morgan, where he has held senior management positions in sales, relationship management, trading, and operations. Mike lived and worked in England and Luxembourg for a number of years and spent several years there.

Mike Goonan was an executive vice president who was stationed in Boston as part of the Client Executive Program. In this capacity, he oversaw three of State Street’s most intricate and massive global client relationships. Mike was previously accountable for a significant portion of the company’s global operations, where he established strategic direction and provided managerial supervision for an organization that has 1,400 employees in 11 locations worldwide.

Patient Airlift Services (PALS) is an organization that offers free flights to critically sick children and adults, as well as veterans and their companions. Mike was a volunteer and a member of the board of directors for PALS. Additional to that, he served on the board of directors for the YMCA Achievers Program of Greater Boston.
