Born and raised in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, Rachelle was the youngest of twelve children. Her journey took a romantic turn when she met Michael during a trip from the west to Quebec. The couple settled in Oakville, where Rachelle excelled as a devoted mother and a talented seamstress. Her active involvement with the Catholic Women’s League at St. Dominic Parish showcased her warm hospitality and her passion for cooking, gardening, and nurturing connections with family and friends across Canada.
A Joyful Retirement
In retirement, Rachelle and Mike moved to Lindsay, Ontario, where she embraced church activities, enjoyed playing cards, and cherished time spent with loved ones. In her final years, she resided at Viva Mississauga, where she received loving care from family and formed new friendships, continuing to spread her warmth and kindness.
Funeral Mass and Tribute
A Funeral Mass in Rachelle’s honor will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, located at 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville, Ontario. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived.
