Christian Camacho identified, SUV crashes into Amarillo home, killing driver
On Monday afternoon, a tragic accident in Amarillo resulted in the death of 20-year-old Christian Camacho. Camacho was driving a Honda SUV when he lost control and crashed into a house.
The incident occurred around 6:26 p.m. in the 4200 block of Relatta Drive. Eyewitnesses reported that Camacho’s vehicle rolled multiple times before crashing forcefully into a residence at the intersection of Western Street and Relatta Drive. It appears that Camacho was attempting to pass a semi-truck while traveling south on Western Street when the accident happened.
Emergency responders arrived to find that Camacho had already been pronounced dead. Fortunately, no one inside the house was injured in the collision.
The Amarillo Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit is currently examining the circumstances of the crash. Additional details will be provided as the investigation continues.
