Jason Askri Obituary Brooklyn, NY: A double major in English and Biology at Connecticut College, Jason Askri, has tragically passed away. As a pre-veterinary student with a focus on ecology, Askri’s unexpected death has left his family and the school community in deep sorrow. He was a proud 2022 graduate of Midwood High School.
During his academic journey, Askri was mentored by Cali Turner Tomascewicz and David Weller from NOAA Fisheries Southwest Fisheries Science Center. Out of respect for his family, the details surrounding Askri’s cause of death have not been disclosed.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Askri was a determined student dedicated to making a positive impact in the world. He often introduced himself by stating, “I am currently a pre-veterinary student at Connecticut College, double majoring in English and Biology with a concentration in Ecology. Utilizing this interdisciplinary background, I aim to pursue a career as a wildlife veterinarian, specializing in conservation efforts to safeguard endangered species.”
Askri was set to graduate in 2026.
