Throughout her career, Alison was known for her boundless compassion and unwavering dedication to education. She taught at various institutions, including Pinelands High School, Vredenburg High, and Grosvenor Boys High, where her kindness, patience, and commitment to student growth made her a beacon of inspiration for colleagues and students alike.
Alison was also the former owner of Edufocus, a tutoring company, and a franchisee with Master Maths, where she continued to support students in their academic endeavors. Her influence extended well beyond the classroom as she continuously sought ways to uplift and empower her community.
Alison’s educational journey began at La Rochelle Girls High School and continued at the University of Cape Town and UNISA, where she honed the knowledge and skills that would shape her impactful teaching career. She also spent part of her early years at Fairmont High School, laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning, mentorship, and giving back.
In Cape Town, Alison was beloved for her kind heart and dedication to those around her, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her sudden disappearance on October 27 left her loved ones deeply concerned, and her passing has created an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew her.
