Preliminary investigations by the Birmingham Police Department indicate that the shooting was a targeted attack. Authorities believe several suspects arrived in a vehicle, exited, and began firing at the crowd gathered outside the lounge. Innocent bystanders, likely unaware of the impending danger, were caught in the crossfire, leaving a path of destruction in its wake.
